It’s a bit of heroism that actually anyone could partake in should they have the right knowledge. Now, in the real world, however, there’s a fairly large number of people (too many, in fact) who don’t even know the very basics of first aid. Perhaps such people believe, somewhat naively, that if an emergency situation would befall their loved ones, friends, colleagues, neighbors or even a stranger on a bus, someone else would swoop in and save the day. While chances are that someone else may in fact know how to perform first aid techniques, those chances are somewhat slim. First aid is something everyone should know and it’s something everyone should take the time to learn. Everyone and anyone can be a first aider. Learning first aid is not difficult by any means. Point of fact, most first aid courses take only a few hours to complete. More intensive courses are usually only a few days.  Really, think about it. A few hours or days of your life could make a world of difference.
